In Christ Alone

This morning as I get ready to go outside of my comfort zone and go speak on the radio about Operation Giggle I can't help but think about an awesome hymn. In Christ Alone. The first verse says all I need to know. He is my hope, my light, my strength, my song, my cornerstone, my solid ground. No matter what storm I face He has heights of love and depths of peace! The last part says When fears are stilled, when striving cease, My comforter, my all in all, Here in the love of Christ I stand! I am so glad that I have a God who holds me in His hand.

We have had 9 children spoken for as of this moment in the YWAM group. Please continue to forward information to your friends and family, post links on your blog, and most of all pay for provision of our needs.

If anyone that is near TN has access to a 20lb pallet (2 to be exact) we need them! We also still need shipping funds for NEW DAY!

Our God will provide I have no doubt!

I leave you with the lyrics of "In Christ Alone"

God Bless!

In Christ Alone,

Sherri

"In Christ Alone"

In Christ alone my hope is found;
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My comforter, my all in all—
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone, Who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save.
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied;
For ev'ry sin on Him was laid—
Here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain;
Then bursting forth in glorious day,
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory,
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me;
For I am His and He is mine—
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death—
This is the pow'r of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No pow'r of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home—
Here in the pow'r of Christ I'll stand.

  1. What a powerful song! May God richly bless you for your faithfulness.

    On Wednesday's, I'm posting one page per week of a children's book that I wrote with a friend. This book was written specifically for orphans, and for children who are suffering, so they will know how much God cares about them. If you want to stop in it's www.heavenlyhumor.blogspot.com

    Blessings!
